Payments Services

UNDP has decades of experience in processing payments worldwide on behalf of UN agencies for goods and services. The Global Shared Services Centre’s (GSSC) dedicated team of finance professionals located in our finance hub in Kuala Lumpur and seven other locations, provides quality, timely payment services to agencies using the UNDP Service Clearing Account (SCA) mechanism through UNDP Country Offices, and all payment transactions for Quantum agency partners.  

Our transition to the cloud-based Quantum ERP allows UNDP to introduce a host-to-host, partially integrated, payments solution for agencies. This permits non-Quantum agencies to send a payment file in universal file format to UNDP from their own ERP. This would be run through Quantum and sent to UNDP local banks. 

Utilizing UNDP's extensive network of Country Offices and local banks, all UN system entities can benefit from the ability to make payments across 170 countries. This well-established mechanism requires zero system customization, empowering agencies with an efficient payment solution in a global market.    

UNDP also offers a full ERP solution based on Oracle Cloud to partner agencies who are part of the Quantum Consortium.
