UNDP facilitates worldwide payments for UN partner entities, supporting transactions for goods and services across more than 170 countries and territories. Through our global network of Country Offices and local banks, the GSSC ensures efficient, reliable, and timely payment services. These are delivered by specialized finance teams located in Amman, Dakar, Kuala Lumpur, and Panama. 

In 2024, the GSSC managed over $5.28 billion payments in 122 currencies for UNDP, eight Quantum agencies, and 47 non-Quantum agencies and entities with a 95 percent SLA compliance rate.

We provide:  

Payment processing for UN partner entities in 170 countries without system customization required.
A full ERP solution, Quantum (Oracle Cloud), available to UN partner entities as part of the Quantum Consortium.
Host-to-Host (H2H) Payments: Secure, automated fund transfers now active in 80 Country Offices, eliminating manual interventions.

 

Our tailored payments service modalities: 

  • UN entities can use UNDP’s Service Clearing Account (SCA) mechanism for ordering and recording services without needing system integration.
  • Non-Quantum agencies can use the H2H solution to send EFT payments from their ERP to approximately 80 countries through UNDP’s local bank network. Where H2H is not feasible, other authorized payment methods can be used. 
  • Join the Quantum Consortium: Our ERP platform can enable your Agency to more efficiently manage your finance, budget, HR, and procurement processes.

✓ Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) payment files through Quantum and FIS/TRAX are processed daily. Quantum agency payment files are processed on the same day, with similar turnaround times for H2H payments.
