The GSSC delivers robust contract administration services to UNDP and over 45 UN entities, covering more than 40,000 personnel globally. The GSSC’s HR team handles all contractual matters efficiently, accurately, and in full compliance with UN policies and regulations.
Staff appointment administration
For staff, the GSSC manages the full contract lifecycle – from hiring to separation. This includes oversight of entitlements, travel management, social security support, and more. Giving staff the peace of mind that their contractual and administrative needs are in expert hands.
Staff categories:
Professional and higher categories. General Service and National Professional Officers.
We provide:
- Key HR services: hires, reassignment, separation.
- Life and career events administration.
- Benefits and entitlements, including entitlement travel management.
- Social security support – pension, insurance and After Service Health Insurance (ASHI).
Non-staff contract administration services
The GSSC specializes in the administration of Personnel Services Agreements (PSA), a contract modality established by UNDP. This enables UNDP and seven Partner Agencies to engage individuals for specific, time-bound services under a service-based contract model. In 2024, the GSSC provided HR services to 12,000 PSA holders and handled 30,470 related transactions.
Non-staff contract administration services also include intern stipend administration.
